Lower Third app for iPhone and iPad

The most comprehensive Character Generator (CG) on the mobile platform.

The term "Lower Third", comes from the media production industry, is commonly referring to the title safe lower area of the screen, and is primarily the area superimposed by title text and illustration produced by a Character Generator (CG).

The Lower Third for iPad borrows this term and develops a simple application to imitate some of the features that a character generator provides.

The app allows user to create projects. Each project can have its own project logo, background video (or background color) and layouts. Texts (with selectable fonts, font size, text color, background color) and images (with alpha channel supported) can be added to each layout, of course not restricted to the lower third area. Simple transition effects (snap, left to right, right to left, bottom to top, top to bottom and fade) are provided for layout entering and exiting the screen.

With Apple AV adapter (VGA, Component, Digital) connected or Apple TV mirroring enabled, the project can be brought "On Air" on the external screen.

Although, it is originally designed as a hobbyist app, with proper external hardwares (such as video mixer, overlay board - down stream keyer [DSK], etc.), this app can also be used as a immediate substitute for video production and broadcast.
